2012 Cruising

We split our time on Blue racing and cruising. Here are some pictures of our time cruising around.

We take the Miller's out for a blast around the lake. They also had a First 235 before moving up (to a First 285). Amazingly enough, they also thought about buying BlueJ in the year we passed on buying her. We are sailing on the old sails. Note the GBR sail numbers. Her USA sail number (5443) is an homage to the RYA numbers, we just left off the 'GBR' and the 'T'.  Built for cruising in heavy weather, I wait too long to replace them!

A lazy sailing home to the marina while the sun sets. This is the most comfortable place to steer the boat.A good tiller extension is a must.

Every once in a while I would get in a solo sail. Dan was on the water this particular day, so with the breeze on the hip I set an asym and power reached over to see him. Good times.

On one of the best sails of the year; I spinnaker reach over to Maynards for dinner in October. Very warm for this time of year. A wonderful sail.
