Hi
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me at which apparent wind speed you take the first reef when sailing closehauled
Thanks
Youen
Hi
ReplyDeleteHave you seen my post about reefing
I can tell you in TRUE wind; (calculation to apparent is easy)
ReplyDeleteRacing: 22 knots true sustained
Cruising 18 knots true sustained
Might go down based on size and frequency of puffs.
Hope this helps,
clay
